Modern apartment renovation

This customer had recently purchased this property but it was uninhabitable and in desperate need of renovating. They wanted help with all aspects of the project, starting with re-designing the layout and flow of the rooms, help with fixtures, fittings, electrical requirements, developing the kitchen and bathroom, and the lighting plans. As well as working out the colour schemes, window treatments and furniture requirements to turn this space into a welcoming apartment with a light and bright modern Scandinavian feel. Faced with the challenge of how to maximise the overall space and value of this first floor apartment, adding the additional outdoor balcony space during the renovational works was a very welcomed addition.

As this is an open plan area, and a one bedroom apartment, we were keen to maximise on storage, seating and versatility so suggested a generous 3-seater L shaped sofabed with storage. However, being on the first floor, access for something of this scale was not possible, so in order to furnish the space as desired, we had a sofa made in five sections – back, two seats and two arms – which were all assembled in-situ.

The kitchen area had to be both functional and stylish due to the open plan design. A cool monochrome scheme was decided on and as budgets were tight some clever design tricks were implemented with the ‘tiled’ splash back

As the apartment had a lovely bay window a built in seating area was designed and installed to maximise the space and create a great dining area with views out
